Preview of Nigerian Nominees who made the 67th Grammys List

Since his Grammy award back in 2021, Burna Boy has been on fans’ favourite list as one of Nigeria’s best artists. With clips of his performance at the last Grammy Awards ceremony resurfacing on the internet, it is clear that Burna Noy has remained on the roll call of the Grammy Awards.

For the 2025 Grammy Awards set to be held on the 2nd of February 2025, it is no surprise that Burna Boy once again find himself on the nominees lists under the category of Best African Music Performance for his music “Higher”

Along with Burna Boy, about 8 other Nigerian artists have made the nominee list for the 67th Grammy Awards nomination in 2025. These eight artists including Tems, Rema, Davido, Yemi Alade, Lojay, Wizkid, and Asake were nominees under the category Best Global Music Album and Best African Music Performance.

For the Best African Music Performance category, the Nigerian nominees were Yemi Alade for her song “Tomorrow”, Asake featuring Wizkid for his song “MMS”, Tems for her song “Love me Jeje”, and Chris Brown featuring Davido and Lojay in his song “Sensational”.

With at least 7 strong Nigerian artists on the nominee list, Nigerians are eagerly waiting for the grammy to come home with one or two of our artists.

Although Tems and Burna Boy have previously won Grammys, fans believe this might be Davido’s win for his work with Chris Brown. Additionally, with Tems being a nominee in three different categories, her chances of winning in one is strong. Fingers crossed, Nigeria brings several awards home.
