It’s almost like the basketball gods are punishing the Mavs for trading Luka Doncic. Because ever since, Dallas players can’t seem to stay on the court:
🔸 Kyrie Irving, out for the season
🔸 Daniel Gafford, out for the season
🔸 Dante Exum, out for the season
🔸 Olivier Maxence-Prosper, out for the season
🔸 Anthony Davis, injured adductor
🔸 Dereck Lively II, injured foot
🔸 Jaden Hardy, injured ankle
🔸 Caleb Martin, injured hip
🔸 Kai Jones, injured quad
Each team needs 8 players to play an NBA game. That’s exactly how many the Mavs have right now.
And the front office didn’t help matters by putting the team over the hard cap.
Because of that, they can’t sign ANYONE else to the team. That includes free agents or G-Leaguers.
And the two G-Leaguers they DO have are coming close to reaching their maximum number of games.
That means at least two players have to return from the injured list ASAP.
Even then, just one injury puts them at seven .. and a spot in NBA infamy.
